Скарабей – в древнем Египте священное животное, символ солнца.

Испокон веков скарабей был олицетворением и символом Хепри (или Хепера), одного из древнейших египетских богов, связанных с сокровенными таинствами Солнца. Если бог Ра символизирует дневное Солнце, а Атум — ночное, сокровенное, то Хепри — божество с головой скарабея — олицетворяет утреннее, восходящее Солнце.

Up there with my top ten charms I have, this reminds me of a documentary I saw of monkeys bathing in natural springs in Japan, surrounded by snowy mountains. The details are fabulous, and it's a beautiful subject for a charm, for both animal bracelets, and those with an asian or mystical theme. Masperpiece, thank you for designing this. Great price too for so much silver.
